What is truuth ID?

Truuth ID is an app that quickly and easily verifies your identity using common identification documents such as passports or driver’s licences. It is used by a variety of companies as their identification tool when onboarding new customers or employees. 

Why am I being asked to download truuth ID?

You will have applied for a service with a company that uses Truuth ID as their identity verification tool. For example, you could have applied for a position at the company, applied for a home loan or a phone contract.

How does liveness testing work?

Liveness tracks multiple blinking and microscopic iris movement during a face scan and analyses changes in facial landmark ratios to verify the 'liveness' of the user.

 

What is Passwordless Authentication?

Passwordless authentication is the process of verifying the identity of a user that does not require the user to provide a password. Instead of passwords, proof of identity is based on possession of something that uniquely identifies the user such as a registered mobile device, or the user’s biometrics (e.g. face, voice, fingerprint, retinal scan).

Each form of biometric authentication, whether by fingerprint, facial vectors, voice or eye movement, ascertains a certain level of identification. By combing the accuracy scores of multiple biometrics, trUUth can reach higher levels of authentication accuracy up to 99.999%. 

How does trUUth protect biometric information?

Your information is vulnerable when it is held all in one place. With trUUth, your biometric credentials are fragmented apart, encrypted and sharded across multiple trusted cloud servers for your secuirty. 

How does trUUth protect customer PII?

Does trUUth own customers' biometric data?

No. Your biometric credentials belong to you and are not owned or stored by trUUth.
